I think X:EW is the best mobile game in the world. It's amazing and has a ton of depth and replay value.

Don't buy for iOS. Unless it's updated by the developer it will won't work in iOS 11 and is likely to be pulled from the AppStore in the next couple months. 2K shut down the studio that their mobile development so it's unlikely it will ever be updated.

Civ seems pretty fun. Just finished the tutorial. Slimmed down obviously, but enjoyable.

I would disagree, the maps are wayyyyy too small. You only play against like 3 ai at once.

To be fair it wouldn't run on a phone otherwise. I have a decent PC at home (I5, 12 gig RAM), and with 12+ AI and 20+ city states by the 250th turn it can take up to 30-45 seconds to load between turns. More than that on a little smartphone...Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I've put about 40 hours into this game so far (intercontinental flights, chilling by the beach, etc). The games end far too quickly but if you're really into Civ you can get your fix in without having to lug a laptop or Surface around.

I've played through xcom at least 3 times, well worth it at 3 times the price. If you're masochistic, play on hard. If you're on the fence, it is an incredibly faithful port and easily one of the best games in the play store.

Good deals and both are very solid mobile titles. Civ does seem to have compatibility issues on some Android devices. I have a pixel XL and the touchscreen input is about a half inch off on everything
