Just saw this member only price until July 9th. Last week I saw it in-store for $419.99 + tax.

Looks like a decent deal for the price.

$419 is the regular price for the 55" version ($398 at Walmart). The 49" price is too close to the 55" in my opinion, to get the smaller set, even with this discount. I've been watching for a deal (I didn't need it when Target had the crazy $350ish deal last holiday).
Love love love my Roku TVs. The new P Series is getting great reviews.

"until July 9th"

This is not accurate. This will still be $349 on July 10th and after.

What's the difference between the 49S403 (Costco) and 49S405 (Best Buy) models? They are both the same size..

If you can afford $250 more, this is much better.

HDR10/Dolby Vision
15ms input lag (lowest of any TV)
4:4:4 at 4K
55"

"The TCL P607 p series is a very good HDR TV with better than average picture quality thanks to its deep blacks. It has local dimming to enhance its contrast, and it is packed with HDR features such as a large color volume and high brightness. It also has low motion blur and input lag, making it a versatile choice suitable for sports and video games as well. Unfortunately though, its picture quality degrades very rapidly when viewed from an angle, and the overall picture uniformity could be better.
Outstanding low input lag, which should please nearly any gamer. All picture modes have the same low input lag when the 'Game Mode' setting is on, and all modes show 4:4:4 color properly. This is a massive improvement over other TCL TVs like the S305, where the 'Game Mode' setting doesn't improve the input lag."

Costco gets unique model numbers to avoid price matching.. Likely the same model.

Thanks! Was desperately needing to buy a TV, and had a narrow window to do it in. I figured there'd be a ton of options during July 4th sales, but didn't see much at all that was decent. This looks like a great value for the price, fingers crossed.

According to the spec sheets from tclusa.com, the 49S405 weighs a bit more than the 49S403 for "total package weight". (*all* other data in the spec sheets match for 49 inch and 55 inch models). I think the answer: "different model # to avoid price matching" is correct, particularly if you ask tclusa.com where the two models are sold (no overlap!).
