This dash-cam is a low-profile stealth that sits unnoticed behind your rear view mirror. Super wide 170 degrees field of view and maintains strong low light performance; great for capturing videos and still images - Discombobulated

It looks to be a new version of the popular DR-01 version that can be found here, https://slickdeals.net/f/10090648-aukey-1080p-sony-exmor-dashcam-w-night-vision-49-60-free-s-h?src=SiteSearch

The DR-02 is meant to me more stealth and can be had for slightly more at $57.59 using the promo code, AUKEYDR1, or clicking "redeem" under the applicable promotions on the product page below.

Same shape as the A119/A118/A117 series that many sell. It was on sd last week for $35, but this one seems to have more software features, i.e. the timelapse feature which is cool, but idk about using the camera, which is a fallback in case of accidents, which makes this useless.

Another big difference is the dual car charger it comes with and the USB mini-B power cable instead of a car charger plug, that most of these A119/A118/A117 models usually come with.

There might be other software upgrades in this, as other manufacturers have done, to make this thing better, but there's no way to tell without using it. Note: mine only supports up to 64gbs despite the 128gb card I have in it, and on the highest quality recording it records up to 24 hrs on the cam or a standard week's driving for me.

I have the same model, It's definitely one of the best I've used out there in terms of image quality/build/reliability, and its inconspicuous nature is definitely its best aspect.
Then your dashboard cam would have caught it on video.
Front is better. Rear-ended accidents are normally 100% other party fault.

I was there on Sat for a day when going to Grand Canyon from SF and the heat was unbearable. I would suggest getting a dashcam which has a capacitor as any cam with a battery will go bad.

This one sucks in AZ heat, but the Rexing V1 holds up very well

Would a camera be better in the front or rear window? I know they make something similar to this that has a second small camera to go in the rear window. All the accidents I have been involved in are being rear ended by inattentive drivers.
