Something that I find unbelievable is the HDMI capabilities of this unit compared to the much more expensive Pioneer Elite VSX-LX302/102. You can change the HDMI settings on the VSX-532 to support non 4K equipment. LX302/102 on the other hand requires connected equipment be 4K 60P 4:4:4 compatible. There is no option to change the HDMI setting on the LX302/102

so i want to put some in ceiling speakers in my kitchen/dining room area and I also want to put some in the patio area too. if i run all this to the receiver, can i separate the volume output to just kitchen/dining for listening and/or patio area only?

I'm not seeing that it supports Zone A/B where you can run your kitchen/patio independently

Pretty much the exact receiver to fit my needs. Thinking of pulling the trigger but I'm willing to wait until winter for an equal or better deal. Any input on what I should do?

Is this one of those cases where the VSX532 is the same as the VSX531? It's just changed because this model is only sold by Frys?

I was able to get free ground shipping. What I did was when I was in the cart it had my old zip code in there for shipping estimate, I changed to my new zip code (not too far from the other one) and then when it updated shipping estimates it also gave me free shipping. Worth a shot for folks that don't live near a Fry's like myself.

I bought this. Hope it's a decent receiver. I'm not an audiophile and not upgrading speakers or anything. House is brand new and builder put in two ceiling speakers and two wall speakers for basement movie room. So I added a center channel and a subwoofer so this should be enough to power those and play music via Bluetooth from phone app. Also I shipped it to parents house in Missouri to avoid tax as it was charging to ship on the Illinois side of stl.

Seems there's difference between shipping and delivery. I was selecting deliver to this address which gave me $600 delivery charges...changed it to shipping and it's free ground delivery.

Thanks, got it shipped free to MN.

Looks like a decent entry level setup. Needed something to replace my existing Pioneer 5.1 that lacked HDMI.
