That's a pretty broad question. If you want best bang for buck, there's been quite a few systems sub 1k on FP lately with RX580's and GTX1060's that will handle any game currently out at near max settings.
If you want a good quality of life gaming machine, I'd recommend this deal currently on the FP: https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/319120
If you want future proofing Intel 8th gen processors launch October 5th and are a significant bump due to more cores finally being introduced thanks to Ryzen. Yes you'll be paying full retail but the performance difference will be proportional to the 4 cores on sale right now.
If you're a media junkie/do a lot of streaming or video encoding, 3D rendering or other CPU intensive work, go for a Ryzen 7 system on sale today, you won't beat the value even with Intel 8th gen.
If you just do gaming, have an existing system, and just want an upgrade consider just the video card for now. Very few games need more than a 5+ year old i7 and upgrading will likely only be faster due to video card and SSD upgrades.

I already have an SSD, would you recommend the Asus one then? I'm just gaming and web surfing.
Best bang for the buck I ave seen in a prebuilt system for those who don't want to build their own.
