Yubico [yubico.com] has a 50% off offer, when you buy 2.
yubikeys that qualify for this promo: FIDO U2F security key, Yubikey 4 and Yubikey Neo (offer not valid on type C or nano versions).
This deal has been up for the last week and a half, and was posted on Yubico's facebook page. Currently stacks with free shipping offer, which also ends today 9-30-2017
Coupon Code: YK17SMART
Based on trying different combos in the cart, you must buy any 2 qualifying yubikeys, and you will get 50% off your order. If you have 3 or more qualifying keys in your cart, the discount will apply to the 2 highest cost keys.
I just picked up 2 security keys for $18, so not too shabby.
-edit- promo code was supposed to expire 9/30/2017, but as of 9.50pm 10/1/2017, it is still working. I've removed the expiration date from the title. hopefully more people can take advantage of it.

He/She is just saying there are other two factor authentication schemes that the YubiKey supports and he/she is recommending that. It stands to reason that if more protocols are supported on this device, it will be more useful across different sites and for future proofing.
"I'd get the 4 if you only plan to use with USB A otherwise get the neo which works with Android phones with nfc."
If you want to plug it into your computer via USB A (typical USB port in use today) get the YubiKey 4. If you plan on using the key with your phone over near field communication (NFC), then get the Neo.
All that being said, I got two FIDO security keys because it's cheaper and the websites I access support this protocol!
He's so embarrassing.
