You need to give credit where credit is due, which is Doc of Credit.

I second that it's very important to give credit where credit is due.

So do you have to do anything special other than just applying it to your account?

Here's the Doctor of Credit link people talked about above:

https://www.doctorofcredit.com/fr...le-status/

There's some good discussion about the deal. LH Senator is what shows up after you enter the code. It's a Lufthansa code.

I think my AAA discount is better, booking through the AAA site. In the discussion in the link above somebody mentioned that their Amex discount was probably better.

I think I got in on a similar deal with some sort of Norway status match 1-2 years ago. They sent me the card but the status was retracted shortly after that.

Question is will any others match this status?

Once you get the status can you switch your CDP back and keep it?

I am Five Star Gold member
Entered the code and it said "LH Senator" - what does this mean - did it work?

It now shows:
Corporate Discount Programs
LH SENATOR - Preferred

Update:
It is for 12 months period:

LH Senator is Lufthansa's second highest status level. Requires 100k status miles so fairly hard to obtain. Appears that it also gets you hertz presidents circle.

I logged out and logged in and it still shows "Five Star Gold member" not president's circle.

Translated from hertz offer website:
https://www.hertz.de/rentacar/ang...Special-DE
Quote :
As a Senator, you now have the opportunity to get directly into the Hertz Gold Plus Rewards President's Circle Status, which is only achieved after 20 rentals and more. You need only to Hertz Gold Plus Rewards login and your Senator Hertz discount number CDP 501032 deposited in your profile, or your existing Hertz Gold Plus Rewards profile with the discount number update . The action is valid until 31 October 2017 . Your profile is automatically upgraded.

After upgrading to the President Circle status, it will last for 12 months. You will then receive the status depending on the number of your rentals.
From Doc of Credit, will take 1-2 days for the status to show.
