Nice deal. But still this is over $200 more expensive than the freesync version. With the same price I could get a nice WQHD with freesync. That's exactly why I sold my GTX 1080 when I saw price of vega has became more reasonable...

It's the G-sync tax. The freesync model can be found for around $500, maybe less.

Freesync only usable on AMD, G-Sync on NVIDIA Gtx. G-Sync always has a $200-300+ mark up

The monitor would definitely be usable. You just don't get any adaptive sync.

I have the model before this (34UC79G-B) and the image on it is fantastic. I don't even notice the resolution but I'm able to hit 100+ FPS on most titles.
