I heard the battery life issue is due to the wifi being on in the background. Turning it off remedies this problem.

It seems battery life isn't great on this camera, one reviewer mentioned 30 minutes of video and about 100 pictures of one battery (I assume with screen turned on).
Other than that, it seems like an excellent compact camera for the price. Still considering it.

Nikon makes the d3200. I've got a nikon d3300. It doesn't have built in wifi. Apparently this sony does. Other than tht I'm not sure what other features the sony has tht the nikon doesn't

Yeah, i think i paid 400 for one at best buy, got the zoom for 150 on TD slick deals rebate, and that was back in 2015. But this gives you accessories, so...
