Q: Can I add another HD?
A: Yes. 256GB HD is a PCIe M.2 Solid State Drive. According to slickfatty, drpain714, and others, there's an empty 2.5" bay in it. According to dbw, "It has a separate bay/spot to add a 2.5 drive, includes mounting brackets as well. Make sure the drive is 7mm. I couldn't close the cover over a 9.5mm drive that I had."
Q: How does the Costco extended warranty program work?
A: Costco extends the manufacturer's 1 year warranty to 2 years. It is known as the "Costco Concierge Warranty." If you use the Costco Visa, the warranty is extended another 2 years for a total of 4. The Costco website lists the number to call for warranty service.
What about the $99 3 year extended warranty (no deductible) from Squaretrade overkill?The Costco warranty does not cover accidental damage. The bonus 2 years for using the Costco Visa start when the base warranty runs out OR when any extended warranty purchased expires. With a Squaretrade warranty, the bonus two years would start at the end of the 3rd year and extend to a 5 year warranty. The bonus extension is mechanical coverage only.
