That was me. Yes, this laptop comes with 1060 Max Q (unless Dell built some special edition unit exclusively for Costco). It consumes less power and thus helps to keep the temps to the minimum. Performance is in between 1050ti and 1060. But this laptop being a 1060 Max Q does not seem to be much of a deal-breaker for many (judging by the way it is being sold out everywhere). Either the buyers are not aware of Max Q or simply does not care!

I initially purchased this laptop without realizing it was a Max Q 1060. Then I did some research and saw that the Max Q 1060 was 60% faster than the 1050Ti which was already a pretty capable gaming GPU and only 10% slower than a regular 1060. Coupled that with the benefit of drawing less power for more battery life and a cooler laptop, I don't think any gamers are really bothered by the Max Q GPU.

Someone in the Walmart deal thread mentioned that the GPU in this system is a Max Q one. Basically is a little slower and consumes less power. Has this been confirmed?
