Yes, this is the older model. Some folks prefer this one over the current gen though. I am holding out for the new one to drop more, but this is the lowest I've seen the original version.

I haven't tried out the v1 model but I can tell you that I have some cool pictures and video from the model that I bought with my S8... It's pretty cool to be able to record 360 although I wish the software could take my mug out of the picture. Lol

Just fyi - this thing requires a pretty new computer to process video and if you're like me and don't have one, it requires a huge amount of space on your phone memory (not SD). I have a 1:55 video that takes up 831 MB.

You def want a 90mb/sec write speed card. My 128 gives me just under 9 hours of capacity. I really like the camera though especially at this price. I bought generic tripod screws to attach to my boat. And the little tripod it comes with is pretty handy.

This is a fun a great camera for both photos and video.especially if you have tge Samsung VR headset. The video is cool, but lower resolution. For $77 if I didn't have one, I'd pick it up for this price.
