Haven't been on lately...Lost my grandma on 9/2. She was only 66 and had battled pancreatitis for nearly 3 months. She eventually had a heart attack, ended up w/ pneumonia, and developed a major blood clot in her left leg. We're wondering now if she may have had some undiagnosed cancer...But, we'll never know.

Anyway, baby news- approaching the 37 week mark and a little nervous about baby's arrival. Feeling like mentally, I'm not ready. I mean, I have everything I need w/ the exception of having my bag packed...I'm just not ready to adjust to life w/ a newborn. I'd be perfectly happy being pregnant for many more months to come. I'm also growing more and more worried that something is wrong w/ the baby. People are commenting on how I'm not very big to be due in 3 weeks...So, I'm thinking- what if something is wrong and she isn't developing properly. Freaking myself out.

To top it all off, just found out the guy who sits next to me @ work (my cube mate) is out w/ shingles! And the guy who sits next to him just got back from being out for over a week w/ the freakin' flu! I'm hoping my OB has flu shots tomorrow for my appt, I need it now. I'm actually feeling the urge to shower in Lysol at the moment.

Hope everyone else is doing well, can't wait to see some more babies!!!

Sorry to hear about your grandma. hug Sending thoughts your way. With the way I am emotionally right now, I think it would be soooo hard to lose a loved one while pregnant.

I can't believe the guy next to you at work has shingles! Faint Go get your flu shot really fast!

Oh BF I feel your pain. I coughed and peed my pants for 8+ weeks. Always pads, don't leave home without 'em Roll

Thurman I was small but my doc was not concerned. Baby was 6 lbs 9 oz at birth about 1.5 weeks early. He was fully developed so no worries! Oh and his lungs are the strongest thing about him. Boy can he scream!

Someone else had a coworker with shingles.... I think her OB said as long as she didn't touch any of the sores and the coworker kept them covered she'd be fine.

I feel the same way. I just can't pick up and head to the store like I used to. Unfortunately, I was soooo fatigued at the end of my pregnancy that I didn't make it to the stores like I should have. I have been coupon shopping once at Target in the 3 weeks that LJ has been here and that was a failed run at that. I need to stockpile more dipes. I cannot believe that in 3 weeks this kid has nearly gone through 6 packs of NB dipes Bigeye

We haven't heard from Shopgirl in a while, I wonder how she, her little girl and her big boy bug are doing.

Bargoon, you doing ok? Been thinking about ya since M and LJ are a few days apart. LJ has baby acne and is fussy and gassy. Looked up the acne thing (hormonal) and found that acne, fussiness and gas all peak at 3-4 weeks.
Hi, doing okay. Mom just left town on Tuesday so it's been a slower week. Maddy has a little acne, but not bad. She's super gassy and fussy, though and has been having problems pooping. Feel so bad for her, she bears down and gets all red in the face and then starts crying, but nothing comes out. Seems to be evening out now, maybe she was just adjusting to a new schedule or something? In the first 3 weeks, she pooped about 6 times a day. The last week, she's had a few days where she didn't at all and then the next day she'd have several huge ones in a row, but much thicker and stickier than they had been. TMI, I know. Smilie Particularly fussy today, wakes up a lot and nursing is the only thing that soothes her.

I have to go in for an ultrasound next week. Still bleeding a lot, which I didn't think much of 'cause they'd said it would last 6 weeks and it's only been 4. Doctor said it's more than I should be still, though. She wants to make sure there's no placenta left behind or anything like that.

My diaper supply is completely inadequate, too. I've had to go buy a few packs and my $1.50 coupons don't make much of a dent. I hope there's a good sale soon. I just started using the size 1s on her. They're a little big, but not too bad.

That was me. My OB wasn't concerned about it at all as long as none of the sores were open and exposed. If I hadn't had chicken pox, it would be a worry, however.

hug Hope the pooping gets better! How many packs of dipes have you used, Bargoon? It'd be good to get an idea. There's a good deal on Huggies coming up at Rite Aid the week of 9/20. Ends up being $3 for 3 packs of Huggies P&N. Details in the RA thread.

I think I've used 7 packs (jumbo) so far, she's 4 weeks old. 6 newborn, just started using size 1 (but she could easily be in newborn a little longer, I'm just out). She's about 9 pounds right now.

I saw that rite aid deal in my deal alerts and glanced at it. I don't think I have all the necessary coupons to make that work... I'll have to take another look later. Maddy just nodded off solid so I'm going to see if I can move her to the swing without waking her and try to get a shower.

Norge, I am on my sixth jumbo pack of newborn as well and LJ is probably just shy of 8 lbs now (6lbs 9 oz at birth). I did try out a size one on him the other day as they say 8lbs and up. It was a little big and I am nervous about leaks, cuz he is a pooping King. We have half a pack of NB's left then I make the decision to go to size ones or not...which means probably a day and a half of dipes left. NB's say up to 10 lbs. Thank God it's the weekend and DH can hold down the fort between feedings if I must make a Target run!

Bargoon, I have some $3 Huggies MQ's (I am not fond of Huggies, although he is in them right now) and will not do the RA deal because I have no idea where to get the $2 RA q...nor do I think my stores would allow me to use a MQ & RAQ on one item. My RA's are the suck! LMK if you want them.

No worries, I was going off another SD'er that had their dipe tally in their siggy...I think they said 3 or 4 packs of NB. Yeah well, I had 4 and picked up another 2 last Sat at T since LJ has been blazing through them. Perhaps they weren't BFing. That increases the # of poopy dipes that you gotta change. Oh and I've already used dipe cream since he poops so much he got a teeny rash...butt paste FTW!

With Bella on the diaretic we blew through diapers. Now that we are weaning her off it's not quite as bad. We have gone through 7 packs of NB's and 5 packs of 1's and she is 18 weeks now. We've been lucky with no rashes so far, I've always used butt paste on the other kids FTW!

Oh and Pampers NB dipes run a tad bit smaller than Huggies NB so I would suggest using the Pampers first.

Faint I have NO newborn diapers right now.

I'm just now doing a RA deal where I can get 10 johnsons baby items for free after coupons and rebate. I have no baby shampoo, body wash. I have 3 tubes of diaper rash cream, and 2 johnson's powders though Coverlaugh

Still slowly but surely getting prepared though. We bought her going home outfit from Babies R Us friday. I purchased some more bottles too so now I'm all set with bottles. Need to hit up the dollar tree and see if they still sell baby bottle cleaner brushes.

I've got about 8 packs of size 1 diapers and maybe 10 packs of size 2 diapers. I think I have 1 size 3 jumbo pack too. I've just got to stockpile more size 1's and actually get some newborn sized diapers.

As far as wipes go, I have almost none, unless I can use the huggies pull up wipes on the baby. I have about 10 packs of those maybe. I have enough coupons to get 160 though! I have about 30 of the travel 10 pack of huggies wipes so I've got about 300 wipes. I know the baby will go through alot more than that though.

I still haven't bought a diaper bag yet! I actually forgot about it until I was typing this post.
