I have worked as a community manager, lead moderator teams, ran social media campaigns. Worked for companies like Zynga, Kabam, Sony, WildWorks, 6Foot etc. But I have a strong feeling that I would never get picked if I applied. Stick Out Tongue

Ok, I'm going to throw my two cents in.... if you want to attract quality people that will actually do a good job, then you cannot be coy about salary... or at least the way the other thread is. "Feel goodisms" and benefiting the SD community as a whole does not pay the bills nor build a retirement.

What are the benefits of working for SD LLC? What is the salary expectation?

One of my favorite topics to read on LinkedIn (and reddit) is the banter about salaries and companies being cheapskates with labor (and then suffering the ill effects of that).

Funny thing about companies being cheap with labor. I applied to two places in 2013. One was the one local Goodwill store(which is part of a 'franchise' owned by a local guy apparently). They were offering me either $8 or $8.25 an hour to start with a raise of $.25 per hour after 90 days or so.

I also applied with Sears Holdings(Sears, Kmart, etc). They offered $7.25 an hour(aka minimum wage) to start with no such offer of a raise.Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) Goodwill went with somebody else and even after 6 months of showing up on time and doing my job I was still stuck at $7.25 at Sears.

It's downright sad when a national store chain is paying LESS than a charity.nod
