Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (Nintendo Switch) 2 @ $40 + $50 Target Gift Card - In Store - YMMV

After seeing Best Buy put Mario + Rabbids on sale for $40 today, I decided to try price matching at Target and see if it could be combined with their current promotion of buy 2 and get a $50 Target gift card. It worked! The cashier price matched both copies of the game to $39.99, but did not scan a gift card at first. I mentioned the Target promotion and they scanned a copy to make sure the game was eligible for their promotion. A manager came over and had to apply the gift card, but no questions asked, out the door with two copies and a $50 gift card for $80. This would have to be in store before they close today, but if it anyone else can duplicate, it's a great deal!
Way to exploit the price match system so they'll eventually get rid of it, you should be proud.
As much as I feel your sentiment I think that it's ignoring the real issue, which is that Target should not be allowing a $50 gift card promo to stack on top of that. If anything they need to address that, not the price matching part.

It was a manager override. The headache of removing that ability at the store level is much greater than what they lose by people gaming the system.
