I wanted to start this thread to see what other people are doing to lose weight and as an support group also. So feel free to post diet related topics ex:exercise routines, certain foods/diet food programs you have tried or would like to know about.
Please DO NOT: Thread Crap, post if you have negative things to say about others.
I want this thread to work, especially for the people whoses resolution is to lose weight, maintain weight, or even gain weight.

Admittedly, I did lose too much weight though. Wound up gaining weight back to be healthier and actually gained back a bit more than I wanted to (currently 155ish, 5' 9"). Still slender though, as some of that weight was muscle, but I'm trying to trim down my body fat and replace it with muscle. Currently eating 1600 to 1800 calories a day, high protein, and exercising.
embarassing, and borderline dumb, but the way i got myself out of oversnacking was a trick from Daphne Oz in The Dorm Room Diet [dormroomdiet.com]. I counted my age (23) before every bite of brownie and every bite of ice cream i had. the point of that is to sort out if you're really hungry and craving the snack, or if you're bored/stressed/tired/lazy etc. its been a huge help.
I have been grabing a bag of M&M's here and there, still on the coffee and been getting an egg buritto in the morning for the last 2 weeks so no surprise.
Gotten the hang of my step class
Congrats girls on the great job! Hope your arm feels better soon ke!
Wondering if anyone has a sneaker suggestion?? Mine are so worn out, I was doing Zumba tonight and seriously kept hurting my leg because my sneakers wouldnt allow me to MOVE!
Anyone have any good ideas? I was thinking Nike Shox maybe? But open to anything :-)

I'm happy with my weight where it is (maybe lose 4 more lbs, max) but I'm still working on toning up a bit. I've started using Nike+ and 'CrunchFu' with my iPod touch to try to help keep me motivated.
I ran a mile yesterday in just over 10 minutes
So tonight I am going to do some jogging, some Zumba, then take advantage of the free tanning my gym offers to unwind. Perfect night.
You place it on your chest while doing the crunches, and it uses the accelorometer to measure each rep. It has a training plan that will let you go from a handful per set to being able to do 200 in one set. Also 'battle mode' against other users online.
I downloaded it on Wednesday and have been using it more or less every other day.. 600 reps so far

I have Aetna insurance and my employer sponsors "Simple Steps to a Healthy Life" as a part of it. We've had it for a while but I never knew about it until they sent out mailings about it. I joined and it's so neat! You take a health assessment and you're given a fitness plan and customized meals. Today is my first day, and I chose cardio for mondays, wednesdays and saturdays. Today they're telling me to dance! I love it! So if anyone has Aetna, you should look at your account online and see if you have this option... unless this has already been discussed, then just ignore me

I've been trying to get out and run/power walk in the mornings but it's been in the 80s by 9am. Hopefully once things cool off I can get out more.
