Please DO NOT: Thread Crap, post if you have negative things to say about others.
I want this thread to work, especially for the people whoses resolution is to lose weight, maintain weight, or even gain weight.

My question is not intended to make light of others desire to loose weight, but I find it difficult to gain weight in a healthy way. I work 13+ hr shifts and find myself too exhausted to spend any time grocery shopping or cooking. My routine is to throw a Hungry Man dinner in the oven every night. Any suggestions for super easy and healthy meals for someone that doesn't know how to cook? Also, I'm not likely to buy things that will not keep for at least 2 weeks. My goal is to slowly gain 15 lbs.
Here is a calorie calculator, but I don't know how accurate these things are:

Don't run a daily deficit of more than 500 Kcals in the long term to lose weight.
Apparently, figgeting is good for losing 5 lbs a year, and carrying a few extra pounds of muscle will increase your base metabolism, as will exercise.

i wouldnt trust the calorie counter. i mean look at michael phelps, he consumes over 13,000 calories a day. its not a good indicator IMO.
as a starting point for men, avg height (5'7"-5'11") need 2500 calories per day. Most women need significantly less than that (i'm 5'2", i'm eating around 1200-1300 calories a day to lose weight.) if you plan on lifting out of those 2500 calories, expect 80% to be lean protein for muscle building and recovery. For every inch or so over 6'0" you'd need another 300 or so calories for daily intake. If you plan on losing weight before building muscle, then cut out 500 calories.
Thoughts?
anybody have anything to add, comments, things I should be aware of up front with nutrisystem?
my biggest challenge is how much I travel, this summer is going to be a lot of travel, I can see that already, but again, something would be better than nothing.

You're right, it's expensive, but I do not regret spending that much on this after seeing the results. It sounds like it would be a great fit for you since the meals are easy and you can take them with you when you're traveling. I did like that we were able to pick out the individual meals that she would like and she said they tasted great too.
If you want, people sell some of the meals on ebay- you can buy a few to see if you'd like them just to try. HTH, good luck!!
My 2 cents: DH & I tried Nutrisystem and we found the food to be pretty bad. Some stuff was good, but some was just horrible. I'd lift an edge of an item before sticking it in the microwave and gag at the smell. It would smell better once it was heated, but the before hand smell turned me off of eating it most of the time.
We weren't eating the food because it wasn't tasting good, so I sold the food to a co-worker who was thinking of signing up. I didn't want to get depended on eating out of my microwave for the rest of my life, so we quit after 2 months. I started WW after that, which taught me techniques on how to eat healthy on my own. I didn't stick with WW but I still use what I learn when making decisions on what to eat.
What I found best to help my lack-luster will power was the go through my kitchen & chuck all of the bad foods. I got rid of junk food, high sodium & fat foods (mac & cheese, top ramen, etc.) and bought a lot of fresh & figure friendly foods.
I still have problems when we go out to eat. I get fries instead of a salad or veggies, but I'm working on it
I stepped on the scale today after running away from it for the past month. 199 again
