Slickdeals needs a switch/checkbox that can flag a deal that uses a mail-in rebate. That way we could choose to ignore all deals with MIRs on our deal alerts. I've been shafted with MIRs so many time that I refuse to deal with them anymore.
There is also a nice Enermax 550W PSU here for $27 if you have NE Premier - it's semi-modular too: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Pr...-_-Product
Also there is Thermaltake 600W Smart (I don't have a link now) for $31 with 5 year warranty
It could probably handle a 1070 as long as the rest of the system isn't particularly high power. Typically 1070's require a single 8 pin PCI-E connector and the CX450 has a single 6+2 connector. The base power requirement of the 1070 is also 150 watt so should be well within the 450 W the Corsair can handle and looking at the specs it can provide basically the full 450 w on 12 v. A lot of the video card mfgs specify a 500w power supply but that doesn't mean this can't work.
Now if the rest of the system is pretty power hungry with an OCed processor a bunch of extra drives and things you might need more.
And while they work on that, they should add a switch/checkbox that can flag a post that complains about MIR so that we can choose to ignore them and not have to read them, thereby making us feel shafted because that person wasted our time complaining. That has happened so many times that I refuse to blah blah blah anymore.
Wow dude. Go back to bed. Then wake up in a better mood and make some resolutions for the new year to make the world a better place. K thanks.
I wouldn't recommend it. Not only because it's borderline on the power requirement, but also because the CX series seems to have "dirty" power. Been researching coil whine after discovering my EVGA 1070 FTW has been whining badly, and one pattern I noticed in about half the cases I saw during my researh was corsair CX series power supplies. Mine is a CX750M. From the bench tests I've read, the CX units are always rated in the lower tiers for performance and reliability. I'm waiting on a new EVGA Supernova replacement to see if it helps clean it up a little.
If you're going to spend $400 or more on a graphics card, don't put $18 worth of power into it.

They want to make it as hard as possible to get it at that price....snail mail and a lot of folks forget to send in the MIR.
