The cheapest phone, the X Charge is $180, so you still pay $30 at the end. Not as slick as the $6 X Charges they were giving out last summer, but that's likely never coming back.

Service has been pretty great in Chicago, FWIW. This is a Verizon MVNO.

I got 5 lines when the X Charge was $1 each. All 5 SIM's are deployed in other phones, the X Charges were easily unlocked for use on AT&T and T-Mobile, and I gave them out as gifts.

My monthly bill for 5 phones went from $135/mo at Total Wireless to around $40-70/mo depending on data usage. Same VZW MVNO coverage.

Thanks for sharing. Did you have the issue people talked about with the visual voicemail not working in their iPhones?

For the X Charges, did anyone have problems with voicemail notifications after using them on another service?

Total Wireless thinks the x charges are still tied to Xfinity's visual voicemail somehow. But their customer service is even worse than Comcast, so who knows.

So just activate the phone and then change the Sim to another phone and it works with no trouble?

I use the Xfinity voicemail app on my Nexus 6. Seems to work OK.

I canceled the service. Now, the x charges are on Total Wireless, no one receives Voicemail messages.

Total Wireless is another Verizon MVNO.
