Not IPS kills the deal for me.

It's a shame, because I really need a new laptop.

Although it is not mentioned anywhere, there may be a chance that this is IPS. I checked in Amazon for this model number and found that the description says it is IPS.

You know time travel doesn't exist, right?

This also has literally five times the storage space of that laptop.

Your suggestion prompted me to do more research. Thanks.

According to this reddit expert (https://www.reddit.com/r/SuggestA...h=80b70e18), not only is this TN, but it seems to be a crappy TN. The guy seems to know what he's talking about.

But how often can you find an i7 8th Gen for $650 or less? I would've jumped on that i5 8th gen with 256gb SSD if I was looking for a laptop 2 months ago...

You mean his comment, "The screen in this laptop I think is likely to be one of the low-quality-TN panels Dell has been using as of late," leads you to believe anything, one way or the other?

I think the Amazon information is just as likely to be correct, at this point, IMHO...

If you want better settings for mid to high level games, I would wait for a deal without integrated graphics card. Otherwise I would say these graphics cards are more so made for entertainment viewing, not gaming.

No GPU in this laptop. Gaming would be done on the CPU alone and it would not be sufficient for AAA gaming. You should have jumped on the deal yesterday for the one with the 1050 in it that was around $500

man, wish this was the 8th gen i5. been looking for a deal and can't seem to find anything. Whenever the outlet coupons come out, they never include the 5570's

The Dell IPS panels are crappy too, according to several reports on SD in recent Dell laptop deals.

I'll take it further to say Dell is crappy, according to reports but does that mean you won't ever buy Dell?
