Santa got this for my 2.75 year old daughter. It has some small pieces. Would be a concern if the child is still putting things in their mouths. The only major gripe about this product is that you can't just throwing everything inside and close it up, you have to put little things on the outer wings. This is because the floor extends out on the outer wings and overlaps with the inner parts of the castle. If there are objects on the inner part of the castle, then they will prevent the castle from closing properly. Try explaining that to a frustrated toddler.
