If you are in this price range, and you are not a gamer, this is the one for you. Top of the line in pretty much any spec an average user might need. Sure in an Ideal World this would be sub 500, heck, in an Ideal World this would be free, but if you buy top-of-the-line stuff and are in the market for a laptop, this is the all-purpose laptop for you. Not great, but Dell does have extended capacity batteries for this model. I believe they're 4 or 6 cell. It raises the back end a little bit from the bottom though.

Dell has Windows 10 Pro for $629.99. If you downgrade to Home (-$50), it will be $579.99

Looks nice, but no touchscreen and no USB c are a bit of a let down at this price point. I'd much rather find a $400 laptop like this with an i3 and touchscreen and USB c port.

This is so close to being perfect for me!

The only things it's missing from my list is Touchscreen/Convertible/USB-C

I'm looking for:
7000 or 8000 processor
ssd
15" screen
9-key on the keyboard
1080p touchscreen
convertible (folds all the way back to a tablet)
at least 1 USB-C

Hoping to spend under $750

Bought a higher end Dell Inspiron 15 a couple years ago. Had to send it in twice for warranty work due to hinge issues. just this week the touch screen lcd panel went bad ($250 to fix it myself, not worth it), and I've been dealing with charging port issues for a year. I will never buy another Dell.

Good catch. Wonder what coupons will apply to beat the Newegg price.

In what world are you getting an 8th gen i7, 8gb, full hd, and HDD+SSD for $500? Some of you guys live in an alternate dimension where you can pick up these specs for that much. Link me to ANY new laptop with these specs for $500? For $550? You won't be able to.
