Holy ish! I bought this last night. I went in thinking it was $250 which was the price 2 days ago. I showed up last night and $209. Perfect! Seems a bit slow but it's perfect for what I'm going to use it for. Just to use Android Studio for classes I'm taking. Nice looking laptop too. It's murdered out in Black. Huge screen.

Anyone know how this handles gaming? I really only looking to play rocket league and want a cheap laptop that can handle it.

this is just good for office work and video playback. at 10-15W for both CPU & GPU, I wouldn't do any kind of gaming on it

As someone who has this laptop, swapping out the HDD for a SSD sucks. You have to take off the entire keyboard to get to the drive. It's just annoying, but the SSD makes it well worth it.

Not sure about how valid this comparison is but it's says it's comparable to an i5. http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Cor...en-A6-9220
Using Passmark benchmark score, the i5-6200U is almost 2x as fast as the A6-9220 (4,010 vs. 2,354). As another base of comparison, my 8 year old Dell Latitude with an i7-620M (2,732) has a faster processor than the AMD A6. Ok laptop for doing web browsing, emails/word processing, and very simple games though.

Yes, it'll run just about anything you could realistically do in a web browser and all word processing apps like MS Office, Libre Office, and Open Office. The problem is almost always going to be the responsiveness of the computer with a 5400 RPM hard drive. Windows 10 just runs like ass unless you have at least a 7200 RPM hard drive (ideally an SSD). There are lots Windows processes that will run in the background and bring what would be an otherwise decent computer to an absolute crawl.

If this is for a kid, don't worry about upgrading the hard drive. Kids need to learn patience (lol). If you want to be able to pick it up and not get frustrated trying to get some work done, I'd probably recommend an SSD upgrade for an additional $50+ (depending on how much storage space you need).
