7.25% (SoCal) Tax brings me to $966. I think I can muster up the strength to wait a bit longer for a deal. Why do I have to be so tempted by shiny new tech.

Alright... I've been wanting a drone for a while but haven't done squat for research. I know the fly more combo is the way to go. I thought it would be cool to take some pictures of my neighborhood from the air, but I can't think of a significant amount of other things to do with this.

What do you guys use them for to make them worth the price?

Everyone definitely wants the combo.

Got mine from Newegg for retail which is $1000. No tax in NY and Newegg points worth $80.

I'm getting another battery with that $80. So essentially the $1000 combo with an extra battery.

beware, the old firmware make your battery drop from 50% to 0%. cause it auto landing.

the newest firmware cant take Panoramas and QuickShots doesnt work, even you set JPEG in stead of RAW

Massdrop has been on the Slickdeals frontpage numerous times, just do a quick search for Massdrop in the Slickdeals search bar.

The reason why there's a 'delay' in shipping is because after the drop ends they submit the orders to the manufacturers/vendors, and they coordinate shipping. It's why they're also able to get lower prices than what's typically advertised, because if these agreements they have with vendors.

Photos, videos, the thrill of flying. It's really a crazy interesting hobby. There are meet-ups and groups. Plus, if you need inspiration to travel, this can help you think about hiking, visiting new places, etc.
