This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

I make the best southern 'macaroni pie' :yummy : (oven baked) having some for dinner tonight!
My mom does a very good mac and cheese casserole!! It's a family recipe that's been passed down for a few generations. yummy

Ick, that sucks! Have you tried turning it off, unplugging it and letting it sit for about a minute and then plugging it back in? (I might be stating the obvious, but wanted to ask!)

And the obvious is not always obvious for some people LMAO My aunt called me last night with printer problems... she made it sound like it had just started that night... but no, it was a 6 month old problem. Sadwalk Took forever to get the details out of her so I could try and help her. I could never work for an IT help line!

Did you try the "mute" button?!?

Tomato

Seriously, sorry for the Underweather - I've had similar problems when my t.v.s were new and it always turned out to be a setting that got changed when the remote got stuffed between the cushions or rolled over on or something - As long as the picture is fine it's more than likely a setting. Good luck to you Peace.

Oooooh... I see you fixed it!!! Wow, you SDers are supersmart!!! I'm so impressed! laugh out loud

Now the mute button was the FIRST thing I tried laugh out loud I did turn it off, I just didn't think to actually unplug it. I think it was the cable box, once I unplugged it and it reset itself, the sound came back on the TV....

So far today I have wished for a computer techy man and and TV repairman. I may need a harem.

I can't believe my luck... I was freaking out this morning because I lost my Target coupon binder. I thought that was bad enough... ALL of my coupons and gift cards, everything... And then I realized that my CVS binder is missing too... With all of my $750 worth of EBCs... I have no hope of finding either of them and I feel like I'm going to be sick
Frown That's just horrible.

I was going to suggest the same. Mine will freeze occasionally on the digital side. If I switch to analog and have sound and/or movement I know I just need to reset it. Drives me crazy!

------
I ventured into K tonight with DH. Got a few things, handed DH 8 items and 8 coupons. We check out in two different lines. Then the fun starts...

DH's cashier runs over to mine and says "these q's say one per purchase, don't do it or you'll get fired!" I'm like what?
So..we go through all the one per purchase BS, and the one per trans....blah, blah. I ask for a manager and a girl comes up and says. "I'm not sure how to explain this to you so that you'll understand, but you can only use one coupon." EEK!
(Incidently, when I got home and told this part to my teenager, he said that was the point where I should have said..."Let's see, which one of us has a college degree here?" LMAO LMAO )

I'm now laughing, and asking her to please get the manager and I'd be happy to check out with him or her. But I can't do that either cuz' she says the manager doesn't have a cash drawer. LMAO LMAO SERIOUSLY...

DH on the other hand says I'll just check out 4 times. shake head And the cashier says..."well then I'll just refuse to sell them to you!"

The nice old lady behind DH says..."You're right! Give me some of those lifesavers honey and I'll buy them for you." LMAO

I now ask the girl if she has actually called the manager. Then he shows up, and I explain the situation. He's says what's the problem? I just told her that you couldn't use more than one coupon on each item. I say...then there's no problem at all.

Super...no problems, and the girl is now no where to be seen, of course.

My cashier is great, I show him how to pick the products on the screen. DH has got testerone oozing out of him. So he get's done....looks around at everyone and says "I guess the customer IS always right!.....D@*nit!!"

I've only had it maybe 5 months. I did get it at Target Evil and I got the warranty, so I'll call them tomorrow. I'm really in no mood for anything else to break around here. The Gremlins need to go haunt someone else!
I think it is a traveling Gremlin, because it was at my house about 3 weeks ago. First, the microwave went out. (it would be over $300 to fix... or a new one for $275.) Then a Sony 60" TV that we had for 3 years..... I didn't have an extended warranty, and come to find out the blue blob that it was suffering had been in a class action suit, and Sony was standing behind it until OCTOBER 31!! I was 1 WEEK late!! It will cost @ $1500 to fix. Then, last week, I took my truck in for an oil change, and they rotated my tires for free..... and, let me know that I needed $650 worth of bearings, etc.... So, you are definitely not alone. shake head

You have it worse than me!! Well, I do need cv joints and struts, but for now I will just have to be loud and bouncy laugh out loud Shouldn't they have contacted you about the class action suit? They would get the names from registrations.

Ha!! I asked Sony that very question, and I got kind of a lippy response telling me it wouldn't have mattered because my tv wasn't showing that symptom within the correct time duration. It was a crazy conversation.. (that I actually had TWICE, because I called back and tried again.) I have another Sony tv that I spent waaayyyy too much on last year, and I have my fingers crossed it lasts much longer. The days of 10+ year tv's seem to be clearly over. (Before someone asks.... I called to get an ext. warranty for the newer one, and Sear's wanted $1248 for a 5 year warranty. EEK! Now, granted, it could easily pay for itself, since I found that out first hand, but...good golly that is a lot to spend on a warranty. )
