When is the event? My suggestion is to wear the shoes around the house on carpet for a bit ti check out the fit. There is nothing worse than trying to look your prettiest and having the cutest shoes that hurt your feet. That way if they end up rubbing weird or fitting wrong as you move around you can return them. No I am not a shoe salesperson but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
Acutally, when I was in my early 20's I did work for JCP in the Simply for Sports department and sold athletic shoes/children's shoes. I know a bit about fit and that was the first thing & last thing we told all customers to do. Sure they fit in the store, but move around in them on carpet, then if they don't fit bring 'em back.
When all else fails, return to Norstroms.

I agree w/everyone else on the second pair! I really like the first pair but like everyone else has already said, the first pair would look great w/that gorgeous dress.
