Those are great ideas. Since she's going to be on her feet all the time, maybe a GC for a pedicure? Or anything to help with that.

Where's Ariel when we need her? She should be able to come up with lots of useful suggestions.
Thats even better! OMG, so many good ideas. She will be working on a cardiac unit so very busy and yes, on her feet alot..

I was on TheBreakRoom.org (Target website for employees but it's open to the public; I used to work at T) today and there's a rumor that Target is revamping its return policy. Apparently, they're going to start deducting the value of a Q when you return an item that you used a Q on. I quoted the post so you could see what I saw:

Quote from Allinone :
One of the things it's doing is that if you use a coupon when you return the item, the coupon amount is deducted from the refund total. How there going to do that when the coupon is overridden at the register (when it says "item not here") I don't know
Since Target still gets reimbursed for these items, isn't this considered coupon fraud?

They live about 2.5 miles from me. Actually, that's a great idea! I can hit Kmart this week and get an Olive Garden GC to put in the basket instead of Barnes and Noble. Lord knows, I've got the Fandango GC's Whee And since it's my sisters kids, I'll let her babysitBig Grin
High Five on the sister idea!

No snit where is Ariel. I said snit just for Ariel. I have no problem saying shit, honestly! OMG I just said it to my kid. She was youtubing Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillet Lucky and there are lots of of covers out there. One girl was singing it solo as her partner was in Italy. She sounded nothing like the song. DD just came in the room and said, "now we know why he is in Italy." First thing out of my mouth, "no shit!" Bigeye

My sister is an OR nurse and I know that she would love a night off from the kidlets and/or any spa treatment. Maybe a mani/pedi & facial! How relaxing!!!!

Hey Thrifty,
Just wanted to let you know that I used 2 more of the Jcpenney's $15 coupons today! Also there was somebody else there who had the same coupon, but the one without the email address on it. I was going to ask whether it was a slick deal, but decided not to.

Also about BBW, I had a $100 GC to begin with, so I just roll'd one of the $50 GC's. I think you questioned that earlier! I am pretty sure I could have roll'd another one, but I didn't want to push it. But I will be going back to get atleast another $15 promo GC.

The Lambie blankets are so soft, that now my 4 year-old and my 2 year-old want them (who am I kidding, I want them)
Yesterday I was told they received a memo not to accept ANY of the printed coupons. Bummer.

I've wondered that as well about them adjusting down a coupon to remove overage. It's a sticky wicket, definitely. Doesn't Walmart already do this, deduct a coupon value from the return?

*I think it's ok for them to deduct a Target coupon value from an item if I return it, since Target doesn't really get reimbursed for their coupons.
*I don't think the coupon value should count against me if I try to get a price adjustment for something going on sale. (Item cost me $10 and I used a $1 TQ now it's on sale for $9 and I want my $1 price adjustment. They tell me I already got it for $9.)
*I don't think it's fair for them to deduct the value of a MQ since they get reimbursed for the coupon and I don't get my coupon back. It's like they get the value of the coupon twice...once from me and then from the manufacturer.

I don't think Walmart does. . .I just returned something that I used a coupon on and I got the full amount back.

I think they do that already with TQs.

GRRR! My SIL I got into a fight because she had some not so great glade runs and has been returning a lot of the stuff. She went to my store to do the return and had a lot of issues with the CSR, they told her she was comitting coupon fraud and they kept her receipt (not sure if it had the otto glade or not...Mad) so I told her not to return at my store because I don't want her ruining it for me! Made me so mad! I have been trying to teach her to do deals.
Now my brother is mad at me too! :sighs: Coupons....I am sad the glade is gone but happy too! Bittersweet!

Hey momma Ariel needed a bit of a break too! I am at work Frown

I like all the ideas! I think the night out basket is the best for a SDer since you can cover most of it with a low OOP.
I think the gift cert to a scrub shop is a good idea since them b*tches are expensive!
I like the mani/pedi idea bc we (as nurses & women) are always taking care of others, it is nice to be taken care by someone else. I am always asking my family for these types of gifts! Sometimes they give them, other times they give me the products to do the stuff myself (foot scrub and foot bath to do home pedi) but honestly, I would much prefer the pampering, bc it always seems like something is more important than taking those extra moments on myself, kwim. Much easier to actually get it done when you have an appt with someone!

Anyways, those are my thoughts.

I need a Dr. Pepper.........

BTW~Thrify I ♥♥♥ that you used snit for me hug

I don't even try to teach family and friends anymore for those same types of reasons. Best to keep it to yourself and then share your loot with them when you want to.

I've only done a few returns since I started SDing but both times these rules have already applied and that was at 2 different stores. I called corporate about the PA thing and they helped me work it out but it was a PITA.

wave from one nurse to another.... pedicures are the best ... no artificial nails permitted so manicures are awesome.

I am going OOT to the Fort Wayne, Indy area this weekend... how friendly is the T by the mall? any super T's out that way? may do a K run too (if I could find it).. I am still doing glade there LMAO

Hey guys-
I know this is really random but I just broke out my Mamma Mia codes to print out Fandango bucks for Xmas. But....although I did redeem the Mamma Mia part, I just wrote down the codes I got from that, and didn't enter them into Fandango yet. I just noticed to get the codes to work as a Mastercard, it says the exp. on the card is 10/31. Ahhhhhhhh! Does that mean I can't redeem the codes? HELP! *smacks self on the forehead*
