This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

First of all, The 10 off 50 is for Home Purchases. It's a stretch to connect toothpaste and batteries to home goods, as those are health and beauty and electronics. If it were me (which I wouldn't have been buying that quantity), I would have said ok, and chalked it up. Or I would have asked him how many I could use, and then used the others later, or at a different store. Arguing back and forth only insures that the staff will remember you, and your runs will be scrutinized every time you shop. Using coupons at Target isn't a 'right', its a priviledge. One day they may just stop. Each manager is different as is each situation.

Side Note:
Also, all the donation and shelter talk is well and good, but just because someone donates doesn't mean they need to clean the shelves of items for donations. I am able to donate alot, just on what I accumulate normally. And to be honest, I get a little tired of reading about shelter donations in so many posts (I work with homeless vets, yet I don't see the need to post about it at every turn)
Like I have said, I am over being scared of being scrutinized. All my coupons are legit, there were NO overages. The colgate here is $2.11 and I was buying a huge trashcan for $48.XX and some closet organizers although it really does not matter. Just because I am using coupons, I have to put up with being treated like this?
Also my non profits are family and friends that I "donate" to. Again, like you said, that it matters. I was kidding. ANd I did not clear out the shelves. there were at least one full endcap left.

I was not referring to you about the shelters etc. That is why I put 'side note' there. That was an 'in general' statement because we have other posters who constantly talk of donating...

There would be some overages there since you were using both coupons. Totally not blaming you for using both coupons (I've done it myself when they were that price) since yours are still $2.11 but you can't say there were no overages.

I took my son to kbtoys today (45 minutes away) to spend a giftcard that we got last christmas, next time we went to our mall, ours was closing.
So turns out this KB was closing too, and they wouldn't accept GC as payment. Poor thing was so upset. It pisses me off because they already got their damn money from the GC, I should be able to buy something with it Mad

I think I'll stick to my top loading machine. The front loading sounds vomit
I had a Maytag front loader and it broke twice and after that it is gone and back to a top loader. At least you can stop the load at anytime as opposed to a locking door. Clothes getting just as clean, not as many loads to do, now only for two,nod as opposed to eight. What do I do with all my extra time????Confused If I ever get another one it will be alot cheaper than a grand.

That's proof that "couponers" are good for the economy. Rite aid offers nothing, and they are on the list.

I agree. I consider that stealing basically. Until they close their doors for good, they should accept their own gift cards.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes!! Grouphug
Thankfully I do not remember much of what happened. I do remember feeling like I was choking during the endoscopy and a few other things, but that was about it. The results were good I guess. They found a polyp in my stomach and so they removed it and are biopsying it. They also removed another part of my small intestines for a different biopsy. So as for now, I know nothing. I guess that is good, since it is not a right away bad thing, but I am upset bc I still don't know what is causing it all. Hard to treat when you don't know what hell it is. I am trying to stay positive though.
Anyways, I was sooo groogy afterward! I had a Cella right as I got out to the car, sooo yummy Then we went to IHOP for pancakes and then we went and picked up my brother for family fun night.I had a hard time keeping my eyes open the whole time, even while eating. When I got home I had to nap! I was sooo tired! I made Soph take one with me and we didnt get up until 6 pm. We are about to play some games, but I wanted to let you all know how I was for now Smilie Blowkiss Grouphug

Rite Aid has tough competiton too...It reminds me of Eckerds. I remember when most people didn't have WAGs now they have made a strong presence nationwide & have nearly taken over.

Well, once a store files for bankruptcy, they no longer own their merchandise. The liquidators take over & set all the prices, etc....stores only carry the name & your gift card does them no good b/c you have zero capital/cash to reimburse. You are supposed to give a window to consumers to use their cards by but these days you may never hear about it & will probably miss it.
I went thru that with CompUSA and Zale Corp. You give up your rights & the liquidators basically damage what name you have left with all sorts of crazy claims & such.
Check out Gordon Bros..they are a huge liquidator & don't give a crap about what they do, sometimes the closing prices are higher than the prices that the stores actually had to begin with.

I don't care if they are all legit or not - buying 25 of something with 2 coupons each is going to stress out many cashiers and managers. Who knows what the magic number is, sadly every manager can set their own limits. It's something you just live with - I just don't think 25 is the magic number for the Target you shopped at. Wink
