What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

We need to review your request a little longer. We will let you know of our decision by U.S. mail. This could take up to 30 days.
Thank you for choosing Chase Ink Business CashSM.
This happens to almost application.
Business cards don't have to follow consumer CC protection laws so they have less protection if you screw up:

If you are an Authorized User (AU) on a spouse/family member's card which opened in the last 24 months, that does show up on your credit report (the account, and also in the notes that you do not 'own' the account), and you can have the Chase rep disregard that particular account. Also, store branded charge cards that cannot be used outside of that store/chain (ie. do not have an Amex/Mastercard/Visa branding) can be disregarded through reconsideration. AU and store charge cards are the exception - in that the system that Chase uses to auto approve and deny doesn't distinguish, though a human rep can.

Pay with credit cards where cards are not accepted for a simple 2.5% fee.
Lol @ 2.5% fee
Get real bro
No, unless Chase misapplied the 5/24 rule to you. Any new credit card (or Amex charge card) that you have opened in the last 24 months from any lender which shows up on your credit report counts toward 5/24.

Depends on the person, and the terms and benefits of the particular card. This card has a $0 annual fee, so there is no reason to cancel right away. Other, high fee cards can have perks such as airport lounge access/travel credits/insurance/4th night free and/or increased points earning rates that make paying the fee worth it.
