You did it wrong. And applying with your SSN had nothing to do with your decline. Don't pretend to have an elaborate business that you can't back up - even if you can stretch it to seem kinda plausible.

What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
That one has an annual fee and requires $5k spending from what I can see, but the CB and bonus amount are indeed better.
When I signed up years ago, basic Ebay sellers were viewed as a business. Today YMMV but I still have the card.

One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

You sound confused. This is the thread for the Ink Cash, which has no annual fee. Maybe you incorrectly thought this was the thread for the Ink Preferred, which has an annual fee?

Chase called me and I told them I was a manager at a hotel which I am and that I use the card for expenses. Told them I was not a business owner and they still approved my card. Just an FYI

I have applied for the card with my SSN and got review message at the end. When I called chase they asked me to fax SSN copy. I just realized my SSN has a note "Valid for work only". I didn't update SSN card for many years after my status change. Is it safe to send the copy to them or wait until the SSN card is fixed or ignore this application. I don't want to any impact on current chase personal cards. Any help is greatly appreciated

That fact has been discussed to death in this thread - in fact, it is the ONLY WAY that most of us (ie. folks without a serious 'legit' business) have gotten approved for this card.

You can try calling the reconsideration line and ask if they can modify your existing application to 'correct' your business name - some people have succeeded, though it is very much YMMV. Otherwise, accept that your application will be rejected and that you wasted a hard pull for nothing and wait 30+ days to reapply.
lol i dint read whole thread... anyway got the card today... no idea how and why.... thanks for your input.

I've had the card 2+ weeks now. Nothing shows up in recent transactions, it shows total amount I've spent though. Called turkey week and they said it was bug in the mobile app for business cards and that transactions on the website would show up after a week. Called again last week and this time was told transactions would show up after my first statement. Ordered an "employee" card last Monday and that shows up on the website. Checked the UR points page and it shows all my transactions lol I don't remember having to wait for any of my transactions to show up last year when I first opened up the CIBP card.

Use drop down menu to select "Show All Transactions" until your 1st statement generates -- default is "Show activity since last statement"

Chase biz cards also have problem with disappearing transactions when changing from pending to posted -- pending charge will show then disappear for 1-2 days then show up as fully posted
