What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

How long does the CIBP stay on the website after it's been closed? Mine still shows -$5.00 balance. Says closed though. I also wonder if that's why I only got approved for 7k vs the 13k of the CIBP.

After that you can call online account support and have them link your personal accounts to your business login -- I have one biz login with everything (SSN biz + EIN biz + personal accounts) and a separate personal login (just personal accounts)

At least 31 days without any Chase apps -- better off spreading it out 2-3 months
Move pts to a premium Chase card then use them for travel (pts worth more than face value) -- if you don't travel then hold them for future travel or cash it out as statement credit or Chase rewards portal might have some discounted gift cards if you're interested in those
Thanks! So I can have both the Cash and Preferred?
As a sole proprietor you can get each card twice -- once using SSN as biz tax ID and again with EIN as biz tax ID (EIN is free on IRS website)
Space them out every 2-4 months -- lower existing credit limits as needed to avoid having too much credit
Thanks for answers
I'd like an actual credit card rather than an AMEX card (the only other card that I've seen that lets you set up authorized users with limits).
Would this business card be good for this scenario? I've got a small business on the side that isn't set up as an official business.
