You did it wrong. And applying with your SSN had nothing to do with your decline. Don't pretend to have an elaborate business that you can't back up - even if you can stretch it to seem kinda plausible.

What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
That one has an annual fee and requires $5k spending from what I can see, but the CB and bonus amount are indeed better.
When I signed up years ago, basic Ebay sellers were viewed as a business. Today YMMV but I still have the card.

One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

Anybody have this already and get an email about 'changes to your account terms'? It mentions something about arbitration and your right to reject it, but more importantly it's hiking my APR to 15% and it's only been 3 months since I signed up! WTF happened to the 1 year 0%APR?

Edit: Nvm I called in and the rep said my 0% is good until April of next year. The letter is stating what my APR would be after or something like that. I still don't know what this arbitration thing is about lol.

Check out youtuber, The Credit Shifu. He made a video about it few days ago. I have mailed my letter today.

I think I've gotten emails about all 4 of my Chase cards. I guess that's what they said. I don't really pay attention to interest rates. I guess it sucks they're going up? Don't they always go up? scam! Frown

I am super pissy. They are ending the ink tag feature tomorrow. So if you have the card for a while, it becomes just another card in my opinion. The tag feature was the best as it made tax time super easy. Is there an alternative to this cards feature, or anyone has a suggestion how to approach this? 1% all purchases, 1% more for gas and resto is fine, bonus 4% for cable, phone,... but the time saved for tax time is priceless.

Fyi. Business credit cards are not required to provide the same protections that are required for personal cards.

How long has it taken to get the points? I spent over 3k my first month and paid it off, and 1 month later still haven't had anything beyond the 1.5%.

Nobody is discussing protections that are required, but rather those that the issuers use to help make even boring cards that beat their name have some value added offerings. The bank can choose which ones they want to include in many of the perks cases, but the point was the "perks" offered by the various tiers like Visa Signature may or may not be in play here, even if it's a visa signature card

I transfer my points from another chase card every other month to my CSR. AFAIK there are no restrictions.

It looks like they aggregate your points in the Chase homepage, so all you have to do is intentionally move them to your CSR.

Only Ink Preferred offers that. Ink Cash and Ink Unlimited are only for affiliates. (I run a FB group with affiliate links)

I applied and was approved for $4,000, which admittedly seems a little low given my credit profile.

Chase typically gives lower credit lines for their business cards than for personal cards, particularly if you are applying as a 'business' owner, so to speak.
