Why not? It is a lot more powerful than the base Xbox One, PS4, or Switch. A vast majority of PC gamers play in 1080p, and this should do just fine with that.
This is really not bad at all, people will get hung up on the i3 due to name but not realize they are quad cores now and that the 8100 benchmarks higher than an i5-7400. The 1050 is totally sufficient for esports at 1080p and other modern games on medium. The only thing this really needs is an SSD and you have a solid entry level gaming build.
it's sufficient. Should get 60fps on medium settings with 720p. If you want to play on 1080p, you'll get about 50fps. The 2gb of Vram may be a problem though. Some textures may pop in randomly when loading textures because of that. Fps drops to around 30fps when you're parachuting in PUBG but it shouldn't matter.

Im trying to figure out the bottleneck. The i3. The 2gb vram. Nope its lack of ssd
I hope you did realize that this is a Coffee Lake Core i3 which is quad core in nature and performs similarly or better than a 7th Gen Core i5-7400. This is okay for maximum games at 1080P without bottle-necking any mid range GPU.

Now the price of SSDs are coming down. If you look for the deals here, you can grab a 2.5" 128GB SSD within $40 and 256GB around $60 to $65.

It's not the i3 I'm hung up on, it's the 2GB 1050. 1050 is on the low end of the gaming spectrum and 2GB is hardly enough to play a game on decent settings. At this price it's probably about as "gaming" as you're going to find.
