Good point!!! Definitely worth it if buying multiples. I considered buying two pairs as well, though I forgot about Steep and Cheap. I can't quite remember what the Backcountry guys told me the difference was. I think it was just the free shipping.

I has the same concern. Deal comes with felt and regular tread, received both with my order. Clicking on the pictures shows the two side by side as well.

I have found that a cheap pair of hiking boots make for a more comfortable wading shoe. They are more flexible and more comfortable to wear all day
