This Tile Master easily hooks onto key-chains or attaches to anything. The embedded Bluetooth tracking will find items in a short to medium range distance. Tile works on Apple iOS and Android devices w/ Bluetooth 4.0 or BLE - Discombobulated

Does "latest' mean generation two (as in the front page deal?)?
This one is newer than the 2nd generation. This would be 3rd generation tile.

They seem to have more than 1 year of battery life, closer to 1.5 years or sometimes more. But, at the 1 year mark (from date of activation) they start telling you to replace it, but you can ignore the messages in app.
Anyone have an opinion on whether there is any difference/preference between this or the Microcenter Tile Slim for around $24? I know this has the hole to use with keys, etc. but I'm curious if there are any other advantages.
I had three of the previous generation go bad within the first year. Tile was fine with sending me a replacement (they were clearly used to this happening), but that wasn't really helpful when I couldn't find my keys. I'm looking for a more reliable brand this time.
tiles are awesome when they work but last time somehow my phone app couldn't find it and i spent a lot of money getting a ride home for my backup car keys. and then the android app in my head unit found it immediately. so i had to uninstall, install and tinker with it to make it work with my phone again. The pro version sounds louder i think it's worth it. i'll check TJMaxx

I literally saw a bunch of these (and the pro ones) at TJ Maxx today too... which I thought was weird.
