Just an FYI I flashed both cameras over to Hikvision firmware and they are working perfectly on my Hikvision NVR (even show up as Hikvision camera in my NVR setup). You can directly hook them up to a Hikvision or Laview NVR and they will technically work (including HikConnect) without doing anything to them straight out of the box, but you can't change the default password for some reason if you only do this, which leaves them vulnerable to being hacked. IMHO it is a bad idea to not take a few extra steps to flash them to the Hikvision firmware if you have a Hikvision or Laview NVR **AND** update the password to something secure.
You can directly flash the firmware from Swann to Hikvison within the NVR. This is the new firmware that closed the security loophole which was exploited last year. I downloaded it off the Hikvision website using the link someone posted on here earlier. Firmware link: (I used the latest build at the bottom of the page): http://www.hikvisioneu Second step is to update the password SADP tool https://www.hikvision.c (Is a RAR file. If you have Windows 10, the MS store has a free program that will unzip a RAR file.) I strongly suggest you take a few minutes and update the password from the default 12345 using the SADP program. For some reason I couldn't do this within the NVR (trust me I tried several different ways). So after flashing the firmware to Hikvision I uplugged each camera and opened the bottom of each one (two star screws) with the screw driver in the box and hard reset each camera. I then hooked each camera up to my home computer and opened SADP. When you open SADP and check mark the camera it will ask you to activate the camera (i.e. create a new long/secure password **this is VERY important***). Did that on each camera and rehooked it back to the NVR. Cameras are now full Hikvision now and secured...at a great price and super clear. **Standard disclaimer..do this at your own risk. For informational purposes only** Also Swann is selling these on Ebay and Amazon for $149.99 (for a set of two) as of today (7/19/18) |

ID distance, theoretical ( based on 100 ppf )
Swann 5MP IP Bullet Camera (NHD-850) 2560x1920 note same H FOV as 4MP 63° : 23.3 feet { 298.3 sq feet covered }
If you plan to use the dome camera outdoors, to minimize issues - use care when putting the dome back on so that the foam around the lens is not damaged, and for longer life keep the dome out of direct UV exposure - as both the plastic dome and foam blocking the IR lights within the dome from reflecting into the lens will decay over time when exposed to UV and heat.

They are ONVIF compliant.

Just remember to do reviews for specific models across the web prior to buying.. if there are very few or none, you're taking an even greater risk.
Whether the Swann retain this one feature or not, who knows, these retailers tend to strip off key features when they make it here to the US.
Someone has to have flashed them to a Hikvision firmware. Damn I want to jump but already have 200$ invested in an i5, 16gb ram box I plan to use as a blue iris NVR.

The should work with Blue Iris as they should have an accessible rtsp feed.

I sell Hikvision cameras and all of their OEM'd cameras that I've come across use a variant/version of the Hikvision firmware just personalized. They will all use the same/similar chipsets and sensors so should have the same featureset as the specs will suggest, within reason..
1) microSD card slots on both cameras
2) ONVIF compliant
The question is how much do these vary from the Hikvision OEM model they are based on ( I am guessing very little based on some other cameras which SD members have purchased from Swann )
Here's the spec sheet on the Dome Hikvision OEM version:https://www.hikvision.c
It looks very nice, 20 fps at 5MP, good sized imaging sensor 1/2.9" ..
Seriously nice cameras from everything I can tell, and with the narrow FOV these do a great job on getting a nice ID distance ( looks like a 6mm "lens 6 mm, horizontal field of view: 60°" )
3 rtsp streams ( each a different resolution )
ONVIF (Profile S, Profile G), ISAPI
Built-in Micro SD/SDHC/SDXC slot, up to 128 GB
Smart feature set ( lots listed, very nice camera indeed, note if using Blue Iris this matters less as iirc Blue Iris does the calculations on the PC itself )
For the price this is an exceptional deal, beating any other possible vendor selling them ( including Chinese vendors selling grey market versions ). imho the only thing one could ask for is a turret version.
