But here's the worse part, he called LG and complained and wanted to use his warranty and they denied it saying that what he did was negligence and does not qualify for the warranty and was void
So.... have fun.

Honestly, the TV is very nice, but I think I would have been just about as happy with a 65" TCL, or just keeping my old TV (a similar size 1080 plasma). I do marvel at just how damn black it is, but I am only taking note of the fact that it's black, I don't believe it has a significant impact on how good the image looks.
Does this 2018 tv still have the lg oled grey banding problem?at 5-20% gradient? Can u pls test it on yours^_^
Tempted to pull trigger on this.

Can you point me to an image or video that I can use as a test? I'd be happy to take a look...

Here's a youtube part. If you have netflix theres also some series in there that you can try and once you see it ... it's hard to unsee it.
one on top of my head is Marco polo where the lady went out and its grey dark sky and put her necklace under a tree. I cant remember the time mark.
It's hard to unsee it so be warned.... I had the 65E7 and I could not bare thinking I paid 1799 for a tv that has this issue...
I would guess that all OLED's are going to show some banding on those slides. Mine does, but honestly, who GAF ? Mine does not show up on normal viewing so its all good.
I've been waiting and I'm about to pull the trigger. I don't see these getting much lower than this even around the holidays.
