ELAC UB5 is on sale. These are shipped and sold by amazon.com llc
$349.98 reg $500 a pair.
The slim version is $595 (reg $750) if you need that euro look.
These are very well reviewed speakers. I have not heard them yet - I did just order a pair. I had Crutchfield.com price match to save on sales tax. No tax for me with Crutchfield in MN but amazon does hit MN with taxes.

You'll get more bottom end, not necessarily a terrible thing if you prefer exaggerated lows. But if you have a decent receiver with good autoeq, it'll flatten out. Just dont place the speakers literally adjacent to the wall. Angle them ever so slightly toward the center listening position.
For $350 yes I would, for $500 no. Hell no.
