Looking at the fine print for the pixel, it appears to be monthly bill credits

"Offer valid 7/27/18–7/28/18. Google Pixel 2 XL (SKU: 6099990). Installment billing plan: Verizon Device Payment. Total Sale Price $599.84. Total Price $949.84. Savings deducted off the full total price of the device and are reflected in reduced monthly payments over the life of the device."

It says total sale price $599.84? I guess I read that to mean that is the price that is reported to Verizon...

wait, so 3 weeks ago for 2 straight weeks, BB was offering $300 off not as bill credits
now 3 weeks later, the promotion is WORSE despite the phone being older and still not selling well?

what am i missing?

so this makes the phone basically $550 + tax on verizon - plus forced to keep monthly payment for 24 months?
whereas bestbuy was offering it for like $492 + tax pay all at once after 30 days only 2 weeks ago

I don't see where this a bill credit scam. Looks like you will finance the discounted amount, not the full amount.

Weird. 35.41 * 24 = 849.84 at regular price, but says "Total Price $949.84."

The payment after discount is 20.82 * 24 = 499.68. "Total Sale Price $599.84"

Are they really that bad at math? Or is it me?

Total price they mentioned could be the unactivated phone price.

meaning what exactly? im not sure i even comprehend the difference between bill credit vs installment ....

can i pay this off on day 2 or am i forced to stay 24 months with verizon?

You can pay this off on day 2 and keep the phone. IT is NOT a bill credit offer. I just bought a Galaxy S9 for a new line and can confirm the financed amount is reduced by the discounted amount.

Note 8 is a good deal ($400 off), but S9/+ is a bad deal ($250 off, prev BB offer was $300 off, and Sam's has $350 GC per Note 8/Galaxy S9/+ in the other thread)
