Both Vudu and Amazon offer this in SD or HD/HDX. With these old shows, is HD really a big improvement?

some are actually amazing in HD if originally shot on film...then remastered.

I... can't believe I'm considering this. But I need to know if the HD is really worth it.
I was thinking about this show, and I said: I think this is the last show on Earth that never got remade. Of all of the shows (whether good or bad) why is it that this show never had a remake?

Pulled the trigger and I must say the quality is great, my boy. I own the DVDs and have recorded episodes on my Tivo OTR and the HDX versions are the best I've watched. The colors are very vivid and I would highly recommend.
