I looked at my return mail sail last night. It said the trade value is $52. I called 611. They told me it will be $52 without this promotion. It is normal. Under this promotion, I will get $500 under this promotion. They told me no water damage, no crack screen. I will get $500 billing credit as soon as they received it.

I called both 611 and went to the T-Mobile store. All they want is the phone only.
Need to log out Samsung account and Google Account. Reset to factory reset before send it back.

Whats the deal u end up paying 600 and yur note 5 is worth 200 so u r paying 800! I guess the discount is 100 only.

Also, I heard horrible news with them rejecting phones for small damage/issue. Mine has a tiny scratch on the corner, would l still qualify? Can someone who had experience with T-Mobile trade-in-device share how to solve that issue with them?

I get it.. but why did you buy a Note 8 2 weeks ago knowing the Note 9 was going to be announced? They're assuming, with this deal, it's mostly those who have had their phone for a while now and are looking to upgrade.
At that time, I didn't know I could trade in my Note 5 for $500. $399 Note 8 deal was good deal at that time.
Buy Note 5 for 150-200 trade in for $500.
Sell Note 8 for 400-500.
