Just got a monthly flyer from sam's club in that states $500 off from Aug 22 - Sept 16
my area code makes it $1499 (originally $1999), assuming it should be the same throughout the states

https://www.samsclub.com/sams/viz...roduct_1_2

EDIT: Realized that posts online state the original price should be 2199 or 2099 which means it is possible the price may be jacked up by the 22nd to around 1599 or 1699 but won't be able to verify until the day of the sale.. or if i get lucky and someone at the store tells me what the price should be
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Yawn... this deal isnt even live yet and you guys are bickering. 500 off a 2k tv is a good deal. No one is making anyone buy it. If you dont like vizio go check out sony or samsung deals. Get off your soap box and give everyone else a break.

"Remember when panasonic was the best." No one cares historical guy.

"But what about LG now they make the best." Well when they are on sale make a thread.

"But but what about rtings or whatever reviewer said this or that." Hey it doesnt matter what they say as long as whoever buys this likes it.
That's a hell of a deal. This TV is the best non-OLED TV you can get according to RTINGS.com (here's their review [rtings.com]).
Oled would be the best tv available for a dark room and this is a great tv for all rooms. For the PRICE, this is the better choice

Is this worth it? Or should I wait for Labor Day? I'm not in any rush at the moment....How does it compare to OLED? And is this the 2018 model?

Edit: Damn I'm only a Costco member!

This is Vizio's flagship LCD of 2018.
Costco will probably have it too.

How does this compare to the 2016/2017 P Series? I paid $800 for a refurb 2016 P Series including a 4 year warranty and sold the tablet on Ebay for 50 bucks.

Is it worth getting $800 for my set and upgrading to this?

Wait for Black Friday
Why is that? Black Fridays don't typically have too many high end models on sale (mostly low end garbage). This might be on sale, but who knows for sure and how much will it be discounted. Might not be worth the wait. Anyway, I'm in the market for something a little larger. Thought I read this somewhere, but is it true that this is going to be the largest quantum dot TV that Vizio is going to be releasing this year?

Weird, I never got the monthly flyer yet. I'm keeping an eye out for that exact TV.

Does anyone know if Discover will price match a discount club like Sams?

Also, I checked RTINGS, seems too close to tell, this or Sony XBR65X930E?

EDIT: BTW They better be getting a shite load in the warehouse in the next few days because it's out of stock online.

*for the money, released this year. The Sony Z9D still offers better picture quality and supports more resolutions. The Samsung Q9FN has better blacks, Freesync(for those with an Xbox One S/X, or an AMD GPU), but worse shadow detail. Q9FN also supports more resolutions. If you are choosing LCD over OLED to avoid the risk of burn in and image retention respectively, the Z9D, Q9FN, and Vizio P Quantum are pretty much the top 3. The Vizio is the best value, the Sony produces the best image, and the Samsung is the most feature rich. This is a stupid good deal at $1500 or even $1600.
