Sam's Club has the Dell Inspiron 7570 on sale through 08/21/2018 for $699.00+tax in store only. Please note this version of the Dell Inspiron 7570 has the 8th generation i7 processor, 8 GB ram with an empty slot, a 1 TB 5400 HDD with 8 GB SSD cache and NVIDIA GeForce 940MX 4GB.
Dell Inspiron 7570 $699.00
- Intel Core i7-8550U (8th Generation)
- 8 GB RAM (two slots, one empty)
- NVIDIA GeForce 940MX 4 GB
- 15.6" Full HD touchscreen
- 1 TB 5400 Hybrid HDD with 8 GB cache
- 3 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type A
- 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C (DP/Power Delivery)
- 1 HDMI
- 10/100/1000 Ethernet Port
- 802.11ac + Bluetooth 4.2, Dual Band 2.4&5 GHz, 2x2
- SD card reader
- 3-cell battery
- Backlit keyboard
- HD webcam
- Windows 10 Home
This is the lowest price I have seen for this configuration new.
Please do not compare it to the i5 version, nor the version without a discrete graphics card, nor the version without a 1 TB hybrid drive with 8 GB cache, nor the version without a touchscreen.
Also note that for whatever reason the laptop is not labeled as an Inspiron 7570 at Sam's Club stores. The tag I saw read
"15.6" Inspiron 7000 Touchscreen Laptop." It also said NVIDIA 960MX. I can confirm it is actually NVIDIA 940MX as stated on the website.

This laptop is expandable.

You can add up to 32 GB of RAM.

You can also swap out the Hybrid HDD and/or add an M.2 drive in the empty M.2 2280 slot

.
The Dell Inspiron 7570 is compatible with the Dell Business Dock - WD15 with 130W adapter. You plug it in via the USB C port. The dock is $199 at Dell but can be found at various lower price points at other retailers.

There is a 4 cell version of this laptop but it comes with an M.2 drive and no HDD. The 4 cell battery takes up part of the 2.5" drive bay so you can only use the M.2 slot.

I love the "please don't compare it to the xxx and yyy"! The other details noted above are great too!
Great job!
It's the same idea behind Intel Optane drives, though the SSD and Hard Drive are separate then. There are software alternative to this idea too like PrimoCache and StoreMI for AMD. It can work pretty well as an improvement over a spinning drive alone but will never come close to raw SSD speed.

Looks like it's an 8GB cache on the 1TB hybrid drive for faster performance.

Biggest drawback of this unit is a poor 3-cell battery that won't last very long, maybe 2-3 hours on a single charge.
Faster boot up times.
From the details page: "Bend it to your will:A 180-degree hinge lets you lay your screen flat, making it easier to create and collaborate, or sketch and take notes seamlessly with an active pen"
TLDR yup. Pen support.
