benchmarks are not that bad with the 3.1 usb to stat converters (i have 3 of them and do imaging all the time).

this product seem to be IP55 rated and does perform quite well. it is also incredibly small. i wouldn't mind having one as portable USB king rings if they over 1T in size.

That said, it's really stupid of them (or evasive) to be silent on whether this is USB 3.1 Generation 1 or Generation 2.
