Stumbled across a few Nvidia Shield Controllers (2017 version) at my local Best Buy and they were marked as clearance for $18.99 ea + taxes. YMMV as there is a Best Buy sale for the controllers but the Best Buy site has it for $39.99.
*Update 9/1* - Price on Best Buy's site is now $49.99. The $39.99 price yesterday apparently was a deal of the day, as pointed out in comments. I would still say YMMV in store (realistically probably pretty low odds) but worth checking if you have a BB nearby, some spare time and are in the market for the controllers.

This looks to be a little better than the previous Gamestop deal for $29.97, but will most certainly be more YMMV depending on how your local Best Buy may be pricing these. The tag in the store said "Limited Time Only Sale" but on the receipt it listed it as "Clearance".

any idea how to shut it off? i got the dualshock 4 v2 and it always stays on and drains the battery
Probably isn't helpful to you but I use 360 controllers for my PC and had the same annoying issue. Found this open source utility which works great at powering down controllers using a controller key combo https://github.com/FirstGearGames.
