That's not what rogue-like/lite means at all. It generally refers to games where you have to get as far as you can through randomized levels/enemies without dying. When you die you have to start over. Sometimes you can find power-ups or items that will aid you in future attempts at getting through the game. Metroidvania is another genre that has nothing to do with it.

Another roguelike game lol. Everything these days is either roguelike, roguelite, or metroidvania! Can anyone explain to me what this means! I assume gameplay similar to Metroid, Castlevania, and rogue night or whatever.

I generally am a fan of rogue-like games, but this one wasn't that fun. At $5 though, it's a cheaper disappointment than at normally $15.
If you like rogue-like and haven't tried Enter The Gungeon, I highly recommend that.
Gotta agree. I was really interested in TumbleSeed at launch but between the $15 price tag and poor reviews I decided to wait until it was under $10. I was really excited when I saw it finally had.
I'm glad I waited, because even at $5 I contemplated a refund. I just don't find it fun. The controls are extremely awkward and I died probably a dozen times during the tutorial (which I'm not sure I even made it out of).
Now, I like hard games. Dark Souls is one of my favorite games ever, I platinumed Bloodborne etc. which is to say, I don't give up easily. This game just gives you no reason to keep playing.
On a more positive note, since I did really want to like it, the art and music are really cool and I give a lot of credit to the developer for going back to the game and trying to address the issues players had with it when it first launched.
They should really just leave the price at $5 permanently since they'd obviously get a lot more people to try it and clearly it has it's fans. At $5 I'd say, if it looks cool to you, go for it, there's a small chance you'll like it. At $15 I couldn't recommend it to anyone.
Can we not post every trash game that's on sale just because it's on switch? The weekly list is bad enough. That would be like me posting every deal from steam of ps+
This game isn't trash, and is worthy of a post IMO.
Generally, I agree with you though, lots of garbage games are posted "just because they're cheap". People buy them for that reason and either play them once, or don't play them at all, which doesn't help deter these shovelrware publishers from release and that stuff.

Exactly. I own a switch and am tired of the clickbait.

Thanks for the definition! Basically these are the games I have no patience for and ending up pissed off cause of difficulty. Thanks for saving me 5 bucks and accidentally throwing the switch out the window!
I bought this, and it's almost more novelty than anything. I only put in a couple of hours before never returning to it again. But if you wanna climb a mountain slowly while balancing a ball this is the game for you.

I second Enter the Gungeon. It's a great roguelike. The Binding of Isaac is my all-time fave, though.
Just watched the trailer for Tumbleseed and it looks extremely boring.

Enter the Gungeon is excellent! I found it for like 8 bucks and have maybe 6-7 hours in already. Great for a quick pick up!
