Just an FYI: HUGE data breach at New Egg.

Hacker inserted 14 lines of code onto New Egg's payment screen which diverted payment information to a server controlled by the hacker(s). Any transactions made from August 14th through Sept. 18th are affected.

Big reason for virtual "shopsafe" cards. They let you assign a limit just above your purchase amount and also set an expiration date.

Newegg will be notifying vulnerable customers on Friday via email, and with a lawyer approved FAQ as well. They say they are not certain which of their systems (USA or Canada) was compromised, but somehow they were able to remove the code. Hmmmmm....

Thanks for the info, heard it here first even though I made a transaction in that range. They really need to send an e-mail ASAP.
