I just bought this, and I was thinking about posting...I wasn't sure if it would be considered a slick deal. Glad to see that balloonshark thinks it is.

I bought the MF "Deluxe Electric Guitar Case" (https://www.musiciansfriend.com/a...uitar-case) for $40 a month ago, just so I'd have something to put my Squier Strat in, but this looks much nicer for only $10 more.

So, I called MF to exchange, and to their credit (no pun intended), they are shipping this case and I'm sending back the other case with no shipping charges at all!

That's really cool of them. Last year I bought the MGMELP version on sale for $67 so this is a pretty good deal. Hard case deals are fairly rare and pretty popular so don't be afraid to post when you see one.

If you're buying a new guitar, you might be able to get a case for it very cheap or free. When I bought my ESP many years ago, I called the stores, and I remember most of the stores, even the big retail stores were willing to give me a deal if I bought a case and guitar at the same time.

This case ultimately is just styrofoam wrapped in felt in a cheap plastic case. However, I think it would work well if it had solid latches. Since the latches are flimsy, I would only recommend this product for something to house your guitar at home. Way too cheap for the price.

A real ESP should always come with an ESP branded case at no extra charge, unless you mean an LTD. You can get a deal on ANY guitar if you check around, it's as simple as asking. If they say no, move on, there is no shortage of dealers.

I got a similar bass case a year ago. Not molded inside for any shape. Just an open route to set the body and the neck sits on the inner compartment. If you sell on Reverb or Ebay and need a hard case to sell an item, you can't beat these when they go on sale. Just make sure you pack the compartment well to prevent sliding. I would not use for a routine case.

Yeah, it was actually an LTD, but it had everything I was looking for, 24 jumbo frets, emgs, a floyd rose that wasn't garbage, aesthetically pleasing.
I got a nice ESP case with it.

I didn't know that standard ESPs came with cases. is this just an ESP thing or do other brands top tier models come with cases too?
