The best 55 inch budget TV your going to find for this price period. Awsome for gaming. Free shipping and no tax for most. QA can kind be kind of hit or miss. It would be wise to consider a Squaretrade or Upsie extended warranty.
Was $315 at Target last year around BF. Nice set. Doesn't get very bright. Roku is amazing. We've replaced cable with app channels, as they are all 1080p vs 720p/1080i.
I bought this same TV for $209 (Refurb) on ebay, so I don't think it's that a great of a deal! BTW; My TV has been working fine. Didn't buy an extended warranty has refurbs have the bugs worked out of them. Been real lucky buying refurbs and hope my luck continues
I also own a Hisense HDR 50" TV and although the TLC gets great reviews my Hisense is a much better picture when calibrated correctly! TLC does not require much calibration out of the box.
When you get a refurb TV your gambling. You don't know if it was a store return because of buyers remorse (best case) or a major intermittent problem with the picture or sound (worst case). There's also a wide gammit of possible issues in between.
This being said you can luck out and get a good one. Look for "manufacturers refurbished" to improve your odds. Also remember refurbished TVs tend to have a much shorter warranty than new TVs.
