I still want a 55C8... when will we see this? I don't think I can justify the approx $400 additional cost for the E8 over the C8 just for better sound - I imagine a $400 soundbar would do better

Buydig is listed as an authorized dealer in LG whereas the ebay seller is not. I dont know on what basis ppl say that LG warranty does not matter. It would be great if someone would shed some light on that.

It's been posted about 1000 times. There is NO DIFFERENCE in the USA of whether or not a seller is "authorized". The 1 year standard warranty is valid and enforceable. You can also add a squarertrade warranty to the 1 year (and you should since it's under $100 at costco).

Hey wixman, what do you mean it's available through Costco? How do I get SquareTrade warranty on an item third party bought through Costco? Is that just an item on their dot com?
